Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) and the visiting West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI), observed Negaunee's volleyball team top West Iron County by a tally of 3-0.

The Miners (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Calumet (Calumet, MI). The Copper Kings go into the non-league test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Calumet achieved victory over Gwinn (Gwinn, MI), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Wykons now own a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ishpeming for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 14. West Iron County will encounter a Hematites squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Hematites record now stands at 15-4.
