Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Negaunee improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Miners host Westwood (Ishpeming, MI) to face the Patriots in a Mid-Peninsula test on Tuesday, August 26. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 1-0. Westwood won 2-0 in their recent league test against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI)

The Wykons now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Ishpeming for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 27. West Iron County will play a Hematites team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Jeffers (Painesdale, MI). The Hematites record now stands at 1-0.
