Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), 78-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Starkville upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 12. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Holmes County Central won 62-46 in their recent non-league bout against Greenville (Greenville, MS)
Next up, the Green Wave play the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 16. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
