The Cordova Blue Devils basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Fayette County Tigers to 53 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 16. Cordova will meet a Rams team coming off a 67-54 non-league loss to Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.
The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Brookwood (Brookwood, AL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Brookwood was nudged by Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL), 48-44, in a non-league contest.
