The Latexo Tigers basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Slocum Mustangs to 62 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cross Roads for a non-league contest on Friday, November 17. Latexo will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 59-26 non-league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-1.

The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, New Summerfield ran past Trinidad (Trinidad, TX), 63-36, in a non-league contest.
