West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA), 86-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Ouachita upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Loyola College Prep (Shreveport, LA) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Monday, November 21. The Flyers go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Loyola College Prep won 61-57 in their recent non-league bout against Benton (Benton, LA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Kilbourne Hawks (Kilbourne, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 21. River Oaks will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 50-43 non-league win over General Trass (Lake Providence, LA).
