In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Lyons Lions basketball team scored a good 77-67 triumph over the Benet Academy Redwings.
The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Oak Lawn topped Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL), 49-25, in a non-league contest.
