McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 66-18 in a non-league match.

With the victory, McDowell upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Titans travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Friday, November 22. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 2-0. Avery County won 60-6 in their recent league match against NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC)

The Hilltoppers now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Draughn for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 26.
