In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a close 40-35 triumph over the North Gaston Wildcats.

The Yellow Jackets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Piedmont Community Charter nipped Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 58-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 22. North Gaston will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 64-28 non-league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC).
