Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), 61-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Coosa upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Dalton Academy (Dalton, GA) to play the Pumas in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Pumas come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Warriors play the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. Gordon Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
