Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 38-14 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Watauga upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Pioneers host Avery County (Newland, NC) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Avery County won 37-22 in their recent non-league bout against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
