North Carolina High School Basketball - Overhills can't hold off Pinecrest

November 26, 2024: Spring Lake, NC 28390

Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC), 31-29 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Patriots host Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 3. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 0-0.

The Jaguars now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoke County for a non-league match on Monday, December 2. Overhills will face a Bucks squad coming off a 42-32 non-league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 2-1.
