North Carolina High School Basketball - Pinecrest succumbs to Overhills

February 4, 2025: Spring Lake, NC 28390

In Tuesday's non-league test, the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) basketball squad defeated the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), by a score of 46-35.

Next, the Jaguars clash with the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a test, on Friday, February 7. Overhills will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 55-26 league loss to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC).

The Patriots (14-6) will now prepare for their game against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Fighting Scots go into the game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Scotland was toppled by Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 50-18, in a non-league game.
