The Newman Central Catholic Comets basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Kewanee Boilermakers to 42 in the Comets league victory on Monday.

The Comets now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bureau Valley for a Three Rivers - East contest on Thursday, November 30. Newman Central Catholic will battle a Storm team coming off a 63-27 league win over Mendota (Mendota, IL). The Storm record now stands at 4-2.

The Boilermakers (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cambridge (Cambridge, WI). The Bluejays come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Cambridge prevailed over Columbus (Columbus, WI), 52-42, in a non-league contest.
