North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central crushes Newton-Conover

November 28, 2023: Newton, NC 28658

Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), 57-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Cougars host North Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Black Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-2. North Davidson lost 47-24 in their recent non-league bout against Davie (Mocksville, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Red Tornadoes go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 63-54 non-league loss to Huss (Gastonia, NC).
