The Strayhorn Mustangs basketball team (Sarah, MS), was overwhelmed 60-16 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS)
The Blue Devils now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jumpertown for a 1A Region 2 battle on Friday, December 1. Ashland will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 65-60 league loss to Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-7.
The Mustangs (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Charleston (Charleston, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Charleston was overwhelmed by South Panola (Batesville, MS), 61-26, in a non-league battle.
