East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), 44-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Union upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA) to clash with the Warhawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Warhawks go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Southeast Warren lost 56-27 in their recent non-league bout against Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA)

Next up, the Maroons clash with the Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Friday, December 1. Diagonal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 64-18 league win over Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA).
