Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds (Imboden, AR), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Screamin Eagles travel to Armorel (Armorel, AR) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 3 bout on Friday, December 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-3.

Next up, the Greyhounds play the South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) in a 2A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Sloan-Hendrix will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record.
