Michigan High School Basketball - Oscoda can't hold off Alpena

The Alpena Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Oscoda Owls to 53 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cadillac for a Big North contest on Tuesday, December 6. Alpena will battle a Vikings team coming off a 48-42 non-league loss to St. Francis (Traverse City, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.
The Owls (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Bay City, MI). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Central was nudged by Clio (Clio, MI), 45-40, in a non-league contest.
