Prairie City Panthers (Prairie City, OR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), 47-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Prairie City upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Wallowa (Wallowa, OR) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Wallowa lost 44-30 in their recent non-league bout against Enterprise (Enterprise, OR)

Next up, the Prospectors play the Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Grant Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
