The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team (Newton, NC), was overwhelmed 34-12 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC)
The Red Tornadoes now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 5. Hickory will confront a Patriots team coming off a 24-23 non-league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
The Red Devils (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Ashe County was overwhelmed by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 52-23, in a non-league battle.
