The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the host Austin Packers (Austin, MN), witnessed Simley's ice hockey team defeat Austin by a score of 7-0.

The Spartans (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hastings (Hastings, MN). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Hastings got by Owatonna (Owatonna, MN), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Packers battle the Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) in a Big 9 challenge, on Wednesday, December 11. Austin will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record.
