The Spartans (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairmont (Fairmont, MN). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Fairmont by Winona (Winona, MN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Packers battle the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) in a Big 9 challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Austin will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record.
