Virginia High School Basketball - Christiansburg can't hold off James River

The James River Knights basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Christiansburg Blue Demons to 64 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Knights now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parry McCluer for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. James River will battle a Fighting Blues team coming off a 66-52 non-league loss to James River (Buchanan, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 1-1.
The Blue Demons (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Byrd was nudged by Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 62-34, in a non-league contest.
