The James River Knights basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Christiansburg Blue Demons to 30 in the Knights non-league victory on Thursday.

The Knights now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockbridge County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. James River will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 47-41 non-league win over Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.

The Blue Demons (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record.
