Ohio High School Basketball - South Central knocked off by Mapleton

The Mapleton Mounties basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting South Central Trojans to 62 in the Mounties league triumph on Thursday.

The Mounties now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Open Door Christian for a non-league contest on Monday, December 5. Mapleton will battle a Patriots team coming off a 88-80 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (Willoughby, OH). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Plymouth (Plymouth, OH). The Big Red enter the Firelands contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Plymouth was defeated by Western Reserve (Collins, OH), 53-51, in a league contest.
