The Marshall Lions basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Mt. Carmel Golden Aces to 40 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paris for a Little Illini contest on Monday, December 5. Marshall will battle a Tigers team coming off a 51-25 league win over Newton (Newton, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 6-0.

The Golden Aces (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Edwards County was nudged by Newton (Newton, IL), 56-41, in a non-league contest.
