The Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) basketball knocked off the host Alpharetta Raiders (Alpharetta, GA), 61-50 in Friday's league test.
The Greyhounds (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Johns Creek (Johns Creek, GA). The Gladiators go into the AAAAAA Region 7 test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Johns Creek went down by Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA), 59-52, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Roswell for a AAAAAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, December 5. Alpharetta will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 71-56 non-league loss to South Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-5.
