Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) and the host Altus Bulldogs (Altus, OK), saw Elgin's basketball squad knock off Altus by a count of 58-45.

With the victory, Elgin upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Owls host Shawnee (Shawnee, OK) to play the Wolves in a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Shawnee lost 59-51 in their recent league challenge against Guthrie (Guthrie, OK)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the El Reno Indians (El Reno, OK) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Altus will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 66-49 league loss to Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK).
