The Falkner Eagles basketball team (Falkner, MS), was nudged 65-60 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS)
The Panthers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jumpertown for a 1A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, December 5. Pine Grove will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 64-43 league loss to Ashland (Ashland, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-6.
The Eagles (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hamilton (Hamilton, MS). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Hamilton edged Smithville (Smithville, MS), 67-46, in a non-league battle.
