Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA), 41-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westminster Academy upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Port Allen (Port Allen, LA) to clash with the Pelicans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Pelicans go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. St. John will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Redstickers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 58-36 non-league loss to Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA).
