Louisiana High School Basketball - St. John holds off Westminster Academy

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) and the host Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA), saw St. John's basketball squad hold off Westminster Academy by a tally of 57-56.
With the victory, St. John improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA) to confront the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-5.
Next up, the Crusaders confront the Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Westminster Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record.
