The Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball nipped the host Northside Christian Academy Knights (Charlotte, NC), 47-43 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Lions go into the test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Hickory Grove Christian was tipped by Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC), 52-17, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Concord Academy for a test on Friday, January 5.
