The Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA), 49-41 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Eagles (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats go into the A D2 Region 1B test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Early County notched a victory over Quitman County (Georgetown, GA), 67-31, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Dougherty for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 13. Calhoun County will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 71-65 non-league win over Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-4.
