In Saturday's non-league outing, the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) basketball squad edged the host Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA), by a count of 69-62.
The Cavaliers (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide go into the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Galax was tipped by Auburn (Riner, VA), 76-44, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Christiansburg for a River Ridge outing on Tuesday, December 13. Pulaski County will clash with a Blue Demons squad coming off a 63-48 non-league loss to Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 0-5.
