Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA), 63-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cavaliers host Glenvar (Salem, VA) to play the Highlanders in a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Glenvar won 70-49 in their recent non-league bout against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA) in a River Ridge bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Pulaski County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 70-49 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
