Machias Bulldogs (Machias, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME), 34-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Machias upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Woodland (Baileyville, ME) to clash with the Dragons in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Schenck will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Pandas go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 58-42 league win over Piscataquis (Guilford, ME).
