The Penobscot Valley Howlers basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Mattanawcook Lynx to 41 in the Howlers league triumph on Saturday.

The Howlers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stearns for a C North contest on Tuesday, December 13.

The Lynx (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Dragons enter the C North contest with a 0-0 record.
