The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) and the host Ashley Bears (Ashley, MI), observed Merrill's basketball team overwhelm Ashley by a score of 68-37.

The Vandals (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fulton (Middleton, MI). The Pirates come into the Mid-State challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Fulton trounced Montabella (Blanchard, MI), 62-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI) in a Mid-State challenge, on Friday, December 13. Ashley will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
