Kentucky High School Basketball - Russell bested by Lewis County

Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), 58-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Lewis County advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Lions travel to Morgan County (West Liberty, KY) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-2.

The Red Devils now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paintsville for a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. Russell will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
