The Hurricanes (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Petal was routed by Brandon (Brandon, MS), 61-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats encounter the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a 6A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, December 13. Long Beach will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 44-35 league loss to Hancock (Kiln, MS).
