The Ellington Whippets basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting South Iron Panthers to 35 in the Whippets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Whippets now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Lesterville for a non-league game on Friday, December 13. Ellington will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, MO). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, South Iron falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to East Carter (Ellsinore, MO) to confront the Redbirds in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Redbirds go into the game with a record of 1-1. East Carter lost 82-61 in their recent non-league game against Liberty (Mountain View, MO)
