The Hermon Hawks basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Mount Desert Island Trojans to 53 in the Hawks league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hawks now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Foxcroft Academy for a B North game on Monday, December 16. Hermon will confront a Ponies team coming off a 65-51 league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Mount Desert Island falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME) to confront the Crusaders in a B North game on Friday, December 13. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 1-1. John Bapst Memorial won 63-52 in their recent league game against Old Town (Old Town, ME)
