In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Deerfield Academy Big Green.

The Pelicans (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westminster School (Simsbury, CT). The Martlets go into the contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Westminster School was nipped by Kent School (Kent, CT), 5-1, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Big Green play the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights (Cambridge, MA) in a contest, on Saturday, December 14. Deerfield Academy will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
