Washington Patriots (Tacoma, WA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Orting Cardinals (Orting, WA), 62-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Washington upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Steilacoom (Steilacoom, WA) to play the Sentinels in a 2A South Puget Sound bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Sentinels go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Steilacoom won 64-63 in their recent league bout against White River (Buckley, WA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Lindbergh Eagles (Renton, WA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Orting will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 72-65 league loss to Foster (Tukwila, WA).
