Moravian Academy Lions (Bethlehem, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA), 44-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Moravian Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lions host Salisbury Township (Allentown, PA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Panthers play the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders (Easton, PA) in a Colonial - East bout, on Thursday, December 15. Saucon Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 43-37 league loss to Bangor (Bangor, PA).
