James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Eastern View Cyclones (Culpeper, VA), 78-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, James Monroe upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Caroline (Milford, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Battlefield bout on Friday, December 15. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Caroline lost 54-36 in their recent league bout against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA)

Next up, the Cyclones play the Chancellor Chargers (Fredericksburg, VA) in a Battlefield bout, on Friday, December 15. Eastern View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 82-45 league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA).
