North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines topples Lee County

December 12, 2023: Sanford, NC 27330

In Tuesday's league outing, the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) basketball squad beat the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), by a margin of 79-71.

The Vikings (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 5-1 record.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Hoke County for a 3A/4A Sandhills outing on Friday, December 15. Lee County will clash with a Bucks squad coming off a 60-53 non-league loss to Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 5-2.
