West Virginia High School Basketball - Summers County topped by Midland Trail

The Midland Trail Patriots basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Summers County Bobcats to 47 in the Patriots non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pocahontas County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Midland Trail will battle a Warriors team coming off a 62-32 league loss to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.

The Bobcats (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Wyoming East prevailed over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV), 60-44, in a non-league contest.
