West Virginia High School Basketball - Summers County topped by Midland Trail

February 3, 2024: Hico, WV 25854

The Midland Trail Patriots basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Summers County Bobcats to 53 in the Patriots non-league victory on Saturday.

The Patriots now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicholas County for a Coalfield AA contest on Tuesday, February 6. Midland Trail will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 57-43 league loss to PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-9.

The Bobcats (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Raiders come into the Coalfield AA contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Liberty dropped by PikeView (Princeton, WV), 74-45, in a league contest.
